Rochelle Haley: Lunar Sway

Randwick Creative Night
April 11 2025, 6:00pm - 6:30pm
Cnr Avoca St & St Pauls St, Randwick

Hear acclaimed artist Rochelle Haley talking about Lunar Sway, her dramatic outdoor public art commission for Randwick.

The light installation features glowing elliptical orbs and gently changing light beams, and is inspired by lunar cycles and the colours of the sunrise and sunset.

Lunar Sway was created in consultation with health workers and responds to their feedback about how they use the area. The artwork creates a corridor and improves connections for people walking across the neighbouring campuses.

It’s a work about reimagining our connection to the night sky and to each other, despite our different viewpoints and experiences.
