Enter the world of the French sacred choral tradition with repertoire by Gounod, Bonis and Duruflé.

19th Century French sacred choral music is celebrated for its luminous harmonies, expressiveness and timeless beauty. Charles Gounod’s Quatrième Messe Solennelle, a work of both grandeur and intimacy, is complemented by rarely performed stunning motets by Mélanie Bonis and Maurice Duruflé. From lyrical serenity to powerful choral climaxes, this program explores the spiritual and artistic brilliance of France’s sacred tradition.
